Authentic Montenegro is a small, family-run local business.
Our approach is refined over time and shaped by experience.
We focus on clear communication, honest information, and a well-organized experience from the first message to the end of the tour.
For you, this means a calm, thoughtful way of exploring Montenegro.
Before Getting In Touch
-
We work with private tours because that’s the only way our approach makes sense. With private tours each guest is treated with respect, as an individual, not one of many. The focus stays on your energy, interests, and questions, at a pace that feels natural.
We adapt to you, not the other way around. -
The first step is simply getting in touch — a message, email, or conversation. We take the time to understand what matters to you and what you’re hoping for, then suggest options that feel right before confirming anything.
-
Booking is confirmed once we agree on the plan, availability, and pricing. You’ll always receive clear information before anything is finalized.
-
Payment is made in cash on the day of the tour. All details are agreed in advance, with no hidden costs or surprises. ATMs are easy to find if needed.
-
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we simply ask that you let us know as early as possible. We usually send a short reminder before the tour as well, to keep things clear and avoid misunderstandings.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will always be informed as early as possible. Because we work with a limited number of private tours and focus strongly on quality, this situation is very rare. If it does happen, we will offer an alternative solution if available. When possible, we also try to provide a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience.
-
Yes. Tours frequently start from ports such as Kotor or Bar. Because cruise schedules require a timely return to the ship, the selection of tours is adapted, and all itineraries are carefully planned to bring you back well before departure. We prefer to avoid unnecessary time pressure, so tours are designed with a comfortable margin, usually finishing early enough to leave some free time at the end. We’re happy to suggest how you might spend it depending on the location before returning on board.
Meeting details are arranged in advance to ensure a smooth start. -
Yes. Common starting points include Podgorica, Budva, Tivat, Kotor, Perast and Cetinje. Other locations can often be arranged as well depending on logistics.
-
Yes. Pick-ups can be arranged from hotels, marinas, and private accommodations, including locations such as Regent Porto Montenegro, One&Only Portonovi, The Chedi Luštica Bay, Sveti Stefan and other hotels or private accommodations. Details are agreed in advance to ensure a smooth start.
-
Tours are designed for small private groups, usually up to four guests, to maintain comfort and flexibility. This works best for couples, families, or small groups traveling together. Vehicles are clean, well maintained, and appropriate for the group size, and we always share details in advance so you know what to expect.
-
No: Plans are prepared carefully in advance and are not changed without a good reason. The goal is always to use the day in the best possible way as agreed.
Yes: Occasionally adjustments may be necessary due to traffic conditions, road works, weather, or similar unforeseen situations. If that happens, it’s always with the intention of making the day run more smoothly and comfortably. We discuss any changes with you and agree together on the best option, so everything remains clear and fair.
-
That’s completely fine. Many guests reach out before having a clear plan. We’re happy to help you explore options and figure out what would work best for you.
-
After 20 years of working in tourism we care about doing things properly and treating people with respect — the way we would want to be treated when we travel ourselves. Over time, we’ve learned that the best days don’t come from rushing or focusing on profit, but from understanding what you need and adjusting naturally.
We value time deeply and try to use it well, because it’s the one resource that cannot be replaced. We aim to keep things thoughtful and well balanced, where quality comes before quantity.
Our goal is simple — that you enjoy Montenegro and finish your visit with a smile.
